Director of 2005 hit Dukes of Hazzard has opened up about a more bizarre part of his experience on the movie. As reported by People, Jay Chandrasekhar explained the reason why he was scared of Burt Reynolds on the movie set.
Chandrasekhar was on an episode of Jay Mohr's Mohr Stories. There, recalling a legend he'd worked with, he mused, "Burt Reynolds throwing punches by my head. I'm like, this is amazing!".
He was then asked to elaborate. "I wanted him to play Boss Hogg in The Dukes of Hazzard. And I'm like a huge Burt Reynolds fan, like a lot of people, right? My mustache in Super Troopers 1 was like a tribute to Burt Reynolds."
Reynolds had asked to do the Hazzard movie only if he could direct it. However, he ended up deciding to do it anyway, luckily for lovers of the movie.
But then, the first day of filming happened. The Dukes of Hazzard director recalled, "I do a little read-through of the scene and it's very clear to me he doesn't know a single word of the scene. And I'm not pretty sure he hadn't even read the script."

The 'Dukes of Hazzard' Star Was Scared
And things didn't exactly get easier from there. The next day, things were still the same. "He had a scene with Lynda Carter, who played Wonder Woman."
"He's supposed to come in and go, 'Hey, I like your hair.' And he comes in, he looks around, he goes 'I like it here,'", he explained. Of course, by this point, the Dukes of Hazzard director wasn't exactly pleased at the whole thing.
"I'm like, 'No, no, bro. You like her hair?' He goes, 'Whose hair?' I'm like, 'Lynda's hair.' He goes, 'It's pretty good hair.'". But that's when things got scary. "He was also punching the air by my face in between takes", whilst he was feeding Reynolds his lines.
"I said to his assistant, I'm like, 'Is Burt going to hit me?'" For his assistant, this wasn't exactly unusual - because it turns out Reynolds was "on major painkillers", so he wasn't acting straight!
