Duck Dynasty star Willie Robertson is making the jump from reality television star to news correspondent.
According to The Daily Beast, he's been recruited to make appearances on the Fox News Network and to host a brand new weekly podcast for Fox News Radio. The 45-minute broadcast, appropriately named The Willie Robertson Podcast, will allow Robertson a platform to voice his opinions on politics, faith, family and pop culture to the masses.
Robertson earned celebrity status when A&E launched their reality series Duck Dynasty back in 2012, which follows the daily lives of his family and their million-dollar duck call and decoy business. It quickly became one of the most popular shows on cable television, and is still holding solid viewership in its ninth season. He's become a favorite of many Americans who appreciate his blunt, old-school and distinctly southern view on life, love and politics.
This new side job won't come as a big surprise to longtime Robertson fans, as he's made many appearances on the network over the years. He hasn't been shy about his opinions on controversial topics in the past, so don't be surprised if some of his comments cause headlines in the coming months.
