Sadie Robertson shared the news on social media after her daughter, Kit, had two choking incidents.
What Did the "Duck Dynasty" Star Share?
Robertson went on social media last month to share a terrifying incident involving her daughter, Kit. The Duck Dynasty star explained that she was making dinner while Kit was in her high chair, eating a snack. She then began choking.
She recalled, "Within seconds, you could tell the severity of the situation. My mom pulled her from the high chair and placed my girl into my arms just as she stopped breathing."
She then described a harrowing scene, saying that "everyone went into action and into prayer. Mom called 911, I started CPR, and everyone began to pray out loud and move the other kids downstairs."
The Duck Dynasty star then gave followers an update last week in a new post, stating that describing the ordeal would "actually require a podcast."
She revealed that the first choking incident was not an isolated one. It led to the discovery of an "underlying" affliction.
While the condition is not mentioned in the caption, Robertson goes on to say that, because of a team of "incredible" doctors, treating it was a "relatively small fix," and that Kit "is healing now."
"This past month has marked us in a way that will take a while to unpack," Robertson wrote. "It has tested faith, and strengthened it. We've seen things that brought a lot of trauma, and also seen miracles on miracles that I'll tell stories about forever! The power of prayer has marked us, the love of community, amazing doctors and nurses, and the evidence of God's faithful hand in the midst of uncertainty.
It's Been A Rough Year for Sadie Robertson
Last year, we reported that while pregnant with Kit, Robertson was rushed to a hospital experiencing what appeared to be early contractions.
Doctors then confirmed that the "contractions" were actually just an aftermath of food poisoning rather than pre-term labor.
"This pregnancy has been wild, but I am just so thankful baby is kicking around in the womb unbothered by wild ride we've been on," the Duck Dynasty star wrote. "Praying we make a turn today! Sharing because Instagram can't just get all the good stuff - we gotta have a little reality up in here! My body hurts, but I'm thankful for it. God is good!"
