Yamal Said, a Mexican national Green Card holder, was detained on May 12 at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport when he boarded his flight after Customs and Border Protection officials found an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

The band

posted to Facebook to share the incident, and announce that their European tour has been cancelled. They said that their drummer was "forcibly" removed from the flight. Although they were "devastated" to cancel the tour, Said's "freedom and safety" were higher concerns.

The band didn't divulge details of why Said was detained, likely because they weren't told why. They also expressed in the post that at the time of writing, they couldn't contact him.

However, Homeland Security provided more insight to the situation when they made a post to X. "Yamal Said is a Mexican national and lawful U.S. permanent resident. Said had a warrant for his arrest after violating a restraining order at least TWICE," they said.

"If you come to our country and break our laws, you will be arrested."

In another post, the band shared that Yamal Said has a legal team, so it's likely that he is trying to legally fight his way out of the arrest warrant.

Details on the restraining order he breached more than once is unclear. It is also unclear if Said will be fighting the arrest, or the breaches of the restraining order.

Fans of the band are rallying behind them as they take to comment sections to share their support and thoughts.

As for the tour, although they have cancelled it, ticket buyers won't go without a show. They were set to tour with Orsak:Oslo, who will still go ahead with the tour. Orsak:Oslo

shared their sympathies to the situation.

"No one should be pulled off a plane and jailed without any information," they said. "We won't pretend to understand the full complexity of the situation, but this should not happen anywhere."
