Worrying about your gas prices is a pretty standard concern. You practically have to drive everywhere, after all.
As of March 13, barrels of Brent crude oil have broke $100 a barrel. This is because of the situation in Iran.
And, according to the Daily Mail, people are turning the spiking prices into a sort of trend. People across the country have been posting their eye-watering totals.
The cost of gas has risen especially in states that are already known for charging high prices. In California, the price for gas rose up to a shocking $5.29 per gallon. And, other states like Alaska, Hawaii, Nevada and Washington are also seeing an add-on to their already eye-watering totals.
One customer at a notorious Los Angeles Chevron station said that her bill surged to $107 for just 13 gallons of gas. That is crazy! Others said that the gas rose to around $8.21 per gallon at that same gas station.
Mark Doran, a Vermont resident, said that the "crazy" prices were "not needed", and that people were "already struggling".

Politicians Are Joining In On the Fun Too
Although some are arguing that politicians are the reason these prices are so high, that hasn't stopped them from joining in on this trend.
Former US Ambassador Bridget Brink, of Lansing, Michigan, posted that her gas prices rose by an entire dollar, reaching $3.69.
Illinois Representative Eric Sorenson posted that his costs rose 48 cents in a week. He blamed "Donald Trump's war" for the price hike.
Commenters on the Daily Mail post have also shown mixed reactions about the price rise. One said, "Nothing but good old price gouging." Another said, "In the US 2022 June average price per gallon, over 5 dollars. November of 2024, over 4.40 a gallon. How quickly we forget how bad things were".
Others said that maybe the fears were a little overblown. "Trump just opened an oil refinery in Texas. He also announced that we are ahead of schedule... No use for fear mongering... articles."
Either way, we hope that this all blows over soon. No one needs these sky-high prices.
