While waiting at a bus stop on the intersection of Northwest 54th Street and 17th Avenue in Miami, pedestrians were hit by an out-of-control driver that left one dead, and the driver still on the run.

Footage from the incident shows the driver of a black Mercedes sedan mounting the curb and smashing through the bus stop. Three people can be seen thrown into the air as the vehicle continues through the structure. As it speeds from the other side, the car rolls.
The vehicle finally comes to rest against a tree. One body had already been thrown from the car as it flipped. The driver was able to escape and run, but one other passenger was trapped inside. Bystanders quickly called emergency services and tried to help the people injured at the bus stop.
A witness recounted the harrowing moment the driver destroyed the bus stop, hitting the pedestrians. "People sitting over there at the bus stop, they got hit by one car. I don't know how ... you can see it over there," he told 7 Miami News.
The whole event happened so quickly and little could be done to react. There are multiple cell phone videos from the scene and they show the carnage left in the wake of the destroyed bus stop.
Bus Stop Driver On The Run
After hitting multiple people at the bus stop, the driver of the car fled. At present, there is no information on what they look like or their identity. The police are on the hunt for the driver, wanted for some serious offenses.
The hit and run on the bus stop resulted in five people being transported to the hospital. Consequently, one succumbed to their injuries and died. One person is still in extremely critical condition after the incident. The other three are making a recovery. One other refused medical treatment at the scene.
At present, witnesses are being questioned and it is being determined how the driver crashed into the bus stop and flipped. The driver is wanted for the hit and run and may be responsible for a death. Police are asking anyone with any information to come forward.
