DoorDash Customer Tracks Down Driver at Car Crash Scene to Get His Food

A viral video shows a man picking up his DoorDash order at the scene of a crash involving his delivery driver.

The Man Told the Driver That He "Can Come Meet Him"

As reported by the New York Post, Glenn Ndibnu knew he was embarrassing himself when he began recording from the crash on Church Road in Bowie, Maryland. As he approached, multiple ambulances were on the scene. 

"I DoorDashed some food, and my DoorDasher told me he got in a car accident, and he was like, 'I can come meet him and get the food from him,'" said Ndibnu in the clip. 

But as he crossed the road, Ndibnu said he began to feel guilty, considering what happened to his driver. 

"I think that's my food right there. Is it f****d up for me to walk across and pick it up?" Ndibnu asked. "I look so f****d up right now about to go get this food."

The DoorDash Driver Is Asking for Help

Ndibnu got his food and apologized to his DoorDash driver, William Koroma. But now Koroma needs some financial assistance after the accident and has launched a GoFundMe to help make ends meet. 

"On my way to my last delivery of the night on Church Road in Bowie, Maryland, my vehicle experienced brake failure and I was involved in a major accident," the description on the page reads. "My car was totaled, and I am deeply grateful that I survived and that no one else was seriously injured."

Koroma said that after the accident, he is not only without reliable transportation but has also lost his job. That has made it difficult for him to manage his mounting expenses. 

"On top of that, I am dealing with medical costs from the accident, which has added even more financial pressure during an already difficult time," he added.

Ndibnu has linked to the GoFundMe on his Instagram to help Koroma. The driver has raised over $14,000 as of Wednesday morning.
