Despite winning the election, Trump lost the state of California to the Democrats. But he believes that wasn't the real truth. Instead, the president says that he is extremely popular in the state and that it was stolen from him.

That's where Jesus Christ comes into play.

"If we had Jesus Christ come down and count the votes, I would have won California because I do great with Hispanics," Trump told reporters. "But it's a rigged vote."

Trump lost California to Kamala Harris in 2024 by 20 points. During his three elections, the president has failed to win California, which has traditionally been blue. Still, that hasn't stopped Trump from claiming it was all rigged.

Trump And Jesus

Of course, when Trump refers to Jesus Christ, he could possibly be referring to himself. The president previously got flak for sharing a photo of himself seemingly dressed like Jesus, healing someone.

Trump removed the AI photo after claiming it was misinterpreted.

"Normally I don't like doing that," Trump told CBS News. "But I didn't want to have anybody be confused. People were confused."

Trump claims the image "was me as a doctor and it had to do with the Red Cross."

The president claims that he would never pretend to be Jesus.

"You had the Red Cross right there, you had, you know, medical people surrounding me, and I was like the doctor, you know, as a little fun playing the doctor and making people better," he told the outlet. "So that's what it was viewed as."

Religion is an important factor for the president. Currently, Trump has televangelist Paula White-Cain as his spiritual advisor. Trump's previous spiritual advisor, James Robison, claimed the president would call him several times a day to discuss religious matters. How much of that was about elections and votes is unknown.
