Domino's Driver Refuses to Hand Over Pizza Without a Tip After Delivering During a Winter Storm

A Domino's delivery turned into an intense encounter after the delivery driver refused to hand over the pizza.

A Domino's delivery turned into an intense encounter after the delivery driver refused to hand over the pizza. The driver had delivered the pie through a winter storm and demanded a tip first. The entire incident went viral after being caught on a doorbell cam.

The video shows the driver arriving at the house with the pizza. The customer arrives at the door to greet the driver. The customer then signs the delivery receipt and hands it back to the Domino's driver. The delivery driver then turns and walks away while still carrying the pizza.

Apparently, the customer didn't leave a tip on the receipt.

"You can come get it," the driver told the customer as they got back into the car. "We're not delivering for no tips today." They then told the customer that they would have to pick up the order at the store. The video blew up online.

But ironically, the customer, Jaylen Howard, said that he did have a tip for the Domino's driver. However, according to Howard, the driver was impatient and snatched the receipt and pizza way without giving him a chance. He had planned to tip the driver $15 on a $29 pizza order. "I intended to tip," he said.

"So when he came, we did the transaction or whatever," Howard told Inside Edition. "I got the receipt and signed for it, and he snatched it out of my hand and walked away."

Fortunately, Howard managed to get his pizza. Another delivery driver brought it out. "Yeah, I got the pizza," he said. "Another guy came out."

The incident happened on January 25, 2026, during a big winter storm that affected much of the United States. Howard, who lives near D.C., experienced the effects of the storm. The video drew mixed responses. One wrote, "I mean look at the roads, it's very understandable." Another wrote, "Just showed why he didn't deserve a tip."

A spokesperson for Domino's spoke out about the incident. They said, "The behavior of the driver in this video, who was employed by an independent franchise business owner, is completely unacceptable. The franchisee has reached out the customer impacted to apologize and has terminated the driver."
