The company that is managing the estate of the creator of "I Will Always Love You" has hired private security. In an effort to protect its employees following the alleged threats made by her nephew, Bryan Seaver. According to a Wednesday (September 24) report from Whiskey Riff.
Parton's Estate Hires Private Security After Alleged Threats
Parton created She's Alive LLC (SAL) to protect her legacy and assets after her death. So it came as a major surprise when the company axed her nephew and longtime security head, Bryan Seaver. Less than a month after her passing.
In the aftermath of his termination, Bryan allegedly threatened to taint the country music icon's legacy. He also allegedly made violent threats against several of the estate's employees.
In response to the alleged threats made by Bryan, the company filed a lawsuit. As well as a restraining order against Parton's nephew.
In response to him and his security being terminated, Bryan and his company called out the singer's longtime business manager, Danny Nozell, and Pinnacle Bank. In a statement to TMZ, Seaver and his team say that they are "dismayed by the unexpected and so far unexplained actions" in the weeks following his aunt's death.
"We remain unshakably resolved to fulfill her final directive to protect her family. And we refuse to be intimidated by those whose actions we believe are being taken in bad faith and with the intent to profit from the life of someone who willingly gave so much," the statement adds.
Bryan also insists that he never made any threats. And most of the comments that he made were taken out of context.
"Nothing in this lawsuit was a threat, and most of the comments I stand by," Bryan said to TMZ."I was talking frankly in a private way with Danny, who I thought was my friend, and he fancies himself a gangster," he said. "A lot of these messages are two guys having rage talk and crying on the phone together while we were grieving."
