For many people, the holidays are a time to decorate the house, binge-watch Christmas movies, and of course, bake delicious, holiday-themed treats in the kitchen. This year, Dolly Parton is helping out with every sweet treat lover's Christmas dessert menu.
Parton unveiled her new holiday Sugar Cookie Kit, released in partnership with Duncan Hines. The kit makes baking Christmas cookies easy, as it includes everything needed to create the sweet treat. Cookie mix, green frosting and holiday-themed sprinkles are all included in the kit. It also features a keepsake booklet and a code to see a video message from Parton.
"I am never happier than during the holidays, and one of the things I just love is getting my family and friends together to bake our favorite things," Parton says in a video on Duncan Hines' website. "Duncan Hines and I baked up something special for you this holiday season with our new holiday cookie kit. We hope it brings you some sweet holiday moments."
Josh Hudson, senior brand manager for Duncan Hines, also commented on the new release with Parton.
"We are thrilled to build on the great success of the Duncan Hines and Dolly Parton partnership with our New Limited Edition Holiday Sugar Kit," said Hudson, according to Food & Wine. "Like all of us, Dolly loves the holidays, especially when it comes to baking with her family and friends, and so this felt like such an authentic way to bring her favorite cookie recipes and decorating tips to families across America."
The Sugar Cookie Mix is the ninth item in the Duncan Hines/Dolly Parton collection. The line also includes mixes for cornbread and muffins, buttermilk biscuits, brownies and cakes, as well as frosting. Parton and Duncan Hines first teamed up in the spring of 2022 to release their Southern Style Coconut Cake and Southern Style Banana Cake mix, along with Creamy Buttercream and Creamy Chocolate icings.
Parton's partnership with Duncan Hines is just one of her many ventures outside music. The singer also sells pet merchandise through her Doggy Parton line, and fans can enjoy Parton-themed greeting cards through her partnership with American Greetings.
