Keanu Reeves and Dolly Parton might be two of the last people on the planet I'd ever think would have some sort of connection. My mind was completely blown when they not only met in real life, but revealed the connection from their past. What was it that tied one of the sweetest souls in country music with one of the nicest guys in all of Hollywood?
Apparently, Reeves mother was a stylist working on set when Parton was featured on the cover of Playboy in a bunny costume. But it doesn't stop there. Keanu actually took that costume his mom made and wore it for Halloween. In the above clip, he even tells CBS' The Talk that he was "riding a streetcar in Toronto in 1983 wearing that (bunny outfit)." We assume he means bunny ears and all.
I'm not sure I could ever unsee John Wick dressed for a Playboy cover, but I still wish there was photographic evidence that this bizarre event actually occurred. Backstage, after Reeves' interview, he was able to meet Dolly for the first time and exchange words about her old Playboy bunny costume.
Their little meet-cute was trending online pretty much immediately, with all kinds of tweets fawning over the celebrity meeting that we never knew we needed to witness. But their photo showing Keanu hovering his hand behind Parton's back starting makings its rounds on social media in a different way as well. CNN reported that this hand placement is a trend with the John Wick: Chapter 3 star as he's trying to be respectful by not touching women. Has anyone ever had anything negative to say about the guy? Highly doubtful.
And there you go. Keanu Reeves and Dolly Parton have both worn the same Playboy bunny costume and it's all out in the open.
