That's right, she's renewing her vows with her husband of 50 years, Carl Dean, People Magazine reports. And when you look at the tried-and-true romance it kind of makes sense they would have a spectacular ceremony on their golden anniversary on May 30.
They met in Nashville in 1964 at the Wishy Washy Laundromat right after she moved there. They got married two years later in Ringgold, Ga. with only her mother as a witness.
The rest is history. She released her first album and went on to become one of the most celebrated female country stars of all time. Her rather camera-shy husband will even brave the paparazzi for this special day.
She says of Dean, "He's always been supportive. He's like a brother and a father and a friend and a husband and a lover - all of those things to me. I think he's kind of proud that we've been in it this long!"
In true Dolly style, she's turning her wedding ceremony into an act of good will. She plans to donate all the profits from selling the photos from the big day to her early childhood literacy charity, Imagination Library.
It's a landmark year for Dolly, including the fact that she gets to wear the wedding dress of her dreams. She never got the chance in 1966 so we know there's going to be some serious sparkle and glam involved.
