Dolly Parton has shared a health update in lieu of a scheduled Dollywood appearance.
Instead of her physically appearing on August 14 as planned, a pre-recorded video of her was played instead. She was donning her iconic makeup and hairdo, alongside flapping butterfly wings.
A video was shared on social media that detailed her announcement. "Now, I've told you all before—all my fans—that I had a few little health issues. And sometimes I get a little dizzy, and I get a little dehydrated," she explained.
"And, I'm dehydrated! So my Nashville doctor kind of clipped my wings and said, 'You ain't traveling this week.' So, I guess if your doctor tells you you ain't traveling this week, you ain't traveling this week!"
Dolly went on to explain some of the things she and her team were working on to keep people "in the loop". "Like I said, I work on everything," she explained.
"So, all is going well on the medical end of things, and I continue to work away on all of our other projects." She specifically mentioned her Nashville hotel, SongTeller, as well as her Broadway show, which "took a lot of time".

Dolly Parton Previously Opened up About Her Broadway Show
Back in 2025, when the Dolly Parton Broadway musical was just in the works, she opened up about why she wanted to do it.
Her reasoning was that she wanted to be alive to see it all come to fruition. "I just thought it was a good story to tell. I wanted to tell it while I was still living. And I could get it out there the way that I wanted it done. And so I thought it was a good story."
She added that she specifically picked Broadway for a reason, too. "And since I write songs, I thought, 'Well, I could write a lot of music for a show rather than just having it be done as a movie.' Which, we may still do that later. But I thought it would make a good Broadway show."
We hope she gets better soon and gets into fighting trim, ready to please crowds once again!
