Dolly Parton is back with brand new music and her largest North American tour in nearly 25 years.
On March 7, the country superstar announced she will visit 60 cities across the U.S. and Canada beginning in June. The tour will coincide with the release of her upcoming double album, Pure & Simple, which will feature brand new material alongside rerecordings of Parton's biggest career hits.
"We're so excited to get out there and see the fans again. I'm really looking forward to singing songs the fans have not heard in a while, as well as the hits, while debuting a few new ones off Pure & Simple," Parton said in a press release.
Parton says the concert will feature a simple, "stripped-down" accompaniment and will focus on the stories behind the songs.
The announcement is just the latest endeavor for the the 70-year-old entrepreneur, who broke television records with her recent television movie "Coat of Many Colors." Parton also plans to open the world's first launched wooden roller coaster, "Lightning Rod," at her Dollywood theme park later this month.
A full list of tour dates, as well as official release date and track listing for Pure & Simple, are expected to be released in the coming weeks.
