Doctors Warn Against Viral "Nature's Ozempic" Health Craze

The "nature's Ozempic" health craze has been branded by doctors as misleading - it can even cause adverse stomach problems.

GLP-1s like Ozempic seem like magic, don't they? The effects it's had on some people is crazy stuff!

But, of course, as with any medication, you need a prescription to use it. Many people yearn for the stuff, and would do anything to try and replicate its effects.

And one weird way that's been popping up online is known as "nature's Ozempic", or alternatively the "pink gelatin trick2. Have you heard of it?

Well, as reported by Dexerto, it's just as strange as it sounds. People are mixing gelatin powder with water, baking soda, and pomegranate juice.

Social media influencers claims it basically does the same thing as Ozempic. But doctors don't seem to agree. They say the only real thing it does is just put a load of stuff in your stomach - meaning you might not feel full, or want to snack, for a while.

And that isn't at all what Ozempic does. Ozempic changes your blood sugar and brain signals for hunger. Both might make you feel full, but at the end of the day, they do totally different stuff.

AI Has Been Used With This Ozempic Hack to Trick People

A lot of how some people have been tricked by this health craze is through AI-generated celebrity endorsements.

The more technologically-minded of you might be thinking, "Oh, I could spot that!", but you need to keep your eyes peeled all the time.

Why? Well, even famous people can be fooled! As we reported on back in May, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kathy Hilton revealed she was a victim to a similar health craze.

But this one was to do with Jell-O - which is basically flavored gelatin. She revealed during an episode of the show - "I went on the Jell-O diet... There's a new Jell-O diet that Oprah Winfrey, Michelle Obama, Kelly Clarkson did - with vinegar and baking soda."

But they weren't real! And she had some pretty bad repercussions because of it, despite losing 67lbs. "It has messed up my whole entire system," she revealed, adding she "was so bloated [I] couldn't fit into anything" after following the diet.
