The Victim Was a Doctor for Queen Camilla

The New York Post reports that on Sunday, Oct. 4, Hannah Cain suffered "blunt force injury to the right side of her head." The 45-year-old also had an injury "that could be suggestive of compression of the neck."

Prosecutors said the attack took place inside Dr. Cain's $1.1 million home in Dersingham, England. The village is located a mile from the royals' Sandringham Estate.

Dr. Cain was hosting a sleepover for her children and their friends when the incident took place. Officials have charged her husband, 45-year-old Mark, with her murder.

"There were children present in the property at the time," prosecutor Jackie Hanlon said at a hearing at Norwich Magistrates Court.

The Doctor Seemed "Distracted"

Dr. Cain worked at the Grimston Medical Center for a year. Queen Camilla and other members of the royal family are patients at the facility. Sources say that King Charles and Queen Camilla have both been informed of Dr. Cain's death.

Mark has not entered a plea to the charges against him. Officials have not yet released a motive. The energy company director is being remanded in custody. He is expected in court on Thursday.

Neighbors describe Dr. Cain as a "lovely human being with three gorgeous children." Friends have reportedly said that she seemed "stressed" and "distracted" days before her death. They said her recent behavior seemed "out of character" for her.

Neighbors are shocked by the incident in the upscale village. They said brutal crimes such as this are rare for the area.

"Dersingham is the sort of place where if you forget to lock your car and leave it out all night, nothing will happen to it," one villager told reporters.

Another added, "You read about things like this happening in other places. But nothing like it ever happens this close to home."
