The Dixie Chicks have announced that they are heading to Europe for a headlining tour in 2016.
Natalie Maines, Martie Maguire and Emily Robison will once again perform together on stage for a set of dates in April and May of 2016. It will be the first time the trio will play in Europe since their 2014 Long Time Gone Tour. The group has toured more regularly overseas since they took heat over comments about then-President George W. Bush during a show in 2003. Because of the backlash from mainstream country music, the Chicks haven't played any dates in America since their 2006 Accidents & Accusations World Tour.
Since then, the members have been working on their own individual music projects. Maguire and Robison signed a publishing deal with Big Deal Music last December, and Maines released a solo album, Mother, in 2013.
Their full list of European tour dates is as follows. It is unclear if more dates will be added, but more information on their tour schedule is available at the Dixie Chicks' official website.
