Sean 'P Diddy' Combs has seen the end date of his current prison sentence change. The disgraced music producer and rapper recently got into a fight while inside federal jail. The altercation reportedly landed Combs in solitary confinement.

Despite that brawl, Combs has seen his sentence slightly reduced.
"On Tuesday, Aug. 4, the Federal Bureau of Prisons shared an update noting that the disgraced music mogul, 56, is now set to be released from New Jersey's FCI Fort Dix, a low-security federal facility, on Feb. 20, 2028," PEOPLE reported.
Combs' release date has shifted in recent months. The previous dates were April 15, April 25 and June 4, all of 2028. The latest adjustment shaves just under two months off his current sentence. Currently, there is no information as to why Combs' sentence has been shortened.
Of course, the decision to shave time off Combs' jail time has also drawn questions due to the nature of his previous brawl. Usually, when inmates get into an altercation, they see time added, rather than being reduced.
Sean 'Diddy' Combs Requested FCI Fort DIX To Address Drug Issues
According to ABC News, Combs previously requested to be placed in Fort Dix so that he could be closer to his family. However, attorney Teny Geragos also noted that Combs would be able to address drug issues while at the jail.
"In order to address drug abuse issues and to maximize family visitation and rehabilitative efforts, we request that the court strongly recommend to the Bureau of Prisons that Mr. Combs be placed at FCI Fort Dix," attorney Teny Geragos wrote, via PEOPLE.
Details regarding Combs' life behind bars are sparse. We rarely hear about his experience, as he continues to serve his sentence outside of the public eye. Of course, when something such as a fight occurs, details quickly make it into the media cycle. As such, the less we hear about Combs, the easier his jail time is likely going.
Combs is serving a 50-month sentence following a conviction for two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. The sentence follows a high-profile federal case that wrapped up in the summer of 2025.
