Would Netflix take on The Spice Girls for a docuseries? This question follows the success of the three-part Take That series. While Take That follows the rise of the successful 90s British boy band, the show's director says that the Spice Girls may be next in line.

"The Spice Girls would be amazing next," David Soutar tells Daily Star. "We'll see how this one goes, and then we'll speak to Spice Girls!"
Gabe Turner, Take That's executive producer, is also down for the idea.
"We make a fair amount of music and sport docs around pop culture so we're always looking opportunities, the Holy Grail really is the Spice Girls," He shared. "I think the entire world would like to do Spice Girls."
"I'm having a lot of chat about how much I want to do the Spice Girls. I think the Spice Girls are fielding probably thousands of people saying they want to do the Spice Girls, I just hope someone gets to do it because I think it's another brilliant story."
What Would Go Into a "Spice Girls" Documentary
As Soutar explained to Music News, for a project like this one, his team would need full creative control.
He said of the Take That series, "The band were very generous with us, and we made it clear from the start that we basically needed creative control of the project."
"We kind of always fight for that because otherwise, what's the point in taking on the project? We're not just here to sort of show as purely a celebration of them," he continued. "We want to do their justice story, but that's a massive responsibility to be a curator of someone else's story."
During their short time as a group, the Spice Girls racked up nine No. 1's, which is more than any other female group in history, according to Official Charts. Not only that, but the group still holds the record for the most records sold by any female group of all time.
There's no doubt that the Spice Girls' story would be an exciting one to tell.
