Did Freddie Mercury Have A Secret Child? Biography Suggests So

An upcoming biography on the rock star has a crazy suggestion about his life behind closed doors. Supposedly, he fathered a secret daughter. Now this is a biography, and not an autobiography, so who knows what the research process looked like? But I will try my best not to influence your judgment. Let's just read on together and see what happens.

Freddie Mercury, New Dad?

If you believe the author of this new biography, Love, Freddie: Freddie Mercury's Secret Life and Love, then yes. The author in question is Lesley-Ann Jones, and boy, did she take a swing with this book. It hasn't officially been released yet, but The Daily Mail got a report.

Now, the almost-released novel claims that Freddie introduced his daughter in 1976. And the novel only ever identifies his daughter as "B". She was born out of a fling with the wife of a close friend. And uh, well, I would imagine not that close of a friend.

The report goes on to say that the biography has the mother's personal account. She divulges information about the "very close and loving" father-daughter relationship that the two of them had with each other.

Jones claims that very few people ever knew about the girl in the biography. She claims the inner circle that knew were his parents, sister, Queen bandmates, and Mary Austin. I know she's a somewhat surprising admission, I agree. Being Mary Austin's ex-fiancé and all.

The unnamed daughter also shares her thoughts in the book. She claims that she always knew Freddie was her dad. She even claims he visited her often throughout her childhood.

Is This Real?

Well, the author sure thinks so! And I will say the more I read from the report, the more of a believer I became.

Jones has said that "B" currently lives a private life in Europe and is "extremely wealthy". In part because she is a 48-year-old medical professional, and also because she inherited money from Mercury through a "private, legal arrangement."

Allegedly, throughout the whole process, the woman didn't ask Jones for anything. And she "does not want recognition," hence the choice of name for her in the book.

Honestly, if this all ends up being fake, then fair play, but if it's true that a crazy secret about the worldwide superstar that he was able to keep secret.
