Brittany Boltinhouse, the woman who was recently stripped of her title as Miss North Carolina, is now taking legal action. Against the same board that dethroned her.

A report from NC Beat accused Boltinhouse of using a firestorm of racial slurs on social media. Under an alias account between 2017 and 2019. Officials at A-Blaize Productions, who produces the pageant, officially decided to strip the recently crowned Miss North Carolina of the honor. And now she is taking legal action.
Dethroned Miss North Carolina Takes Legal Action
In a video posted to her social media account on Monday (August 10), her attorney Patrick Mincey said that Boltinhouse being stripped of the honor was both "wrong and unjustified."
Mincey said that he intends to execute a thorough investigation into A-Blaize's decision to dethrone Boltinhouse. One that will be: "focused on one objective: uncovering and presenting the full truth behind what appears to be another troubling example of cancel culture directed at a young woman because of her deeply held religious convictions and publicly expressed political beliefs."
Mincey also claims to already have uncorked evidence. The attorney for the former pageant queen says that he already has "recorded statements that show pageant officials acknowledging the absence of any legitimate or legal basis for their decision to strip Brittany of her title."
Boltinhouse recently broke her silence about losing her crown as Miss North Carolina. In a statement, she said that she was "at peace" following the decision. She said that she would rather it happen to her as opposed to somebody who couldn't handle the criticism.
"I'm proud of my standards. A proud conservative woman, but a Christian woman. I'm a God-fearing woman. I'm very much at peace, and I'm actually glad it happened to me and not some other young lady that, you know, maybe just probably wouldn't make it through what I'm going through right now," Boltinhouse said as caught by PEOPLE.
"The scrutiny, my family behind it as well. But I will say that I'm very much at peace and I see the light at the end of the tunnel and I know who I am and I know what I can become."
