Denver Broncos Encourage Travis Kelce and the Chiefs to 'Shake Off' Loss With Taylor Swift-Themed Troll

The Denver Broncos took Swift-mania to a whole new level.

Taylor Swift memes and jokes have made their way into NFL coverage thanks to Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce's new relationship with the global superstar. The Denver Broncos, however, took Swift-mania to a whole new level after their upset win against the Chiefs on Sunday (Oct. 29).

The Broncos took home a win against the Chiefs at their home stadium on Sunday, ending Kansas City's 16-game win streak against them. After the game, the team deepened the wound by playing Swift's "Shake It Off" over the stadium speakers. This move — which some are calling "savage" — would mostly affect Kelce due to his relationship with Swift.

A few fans who attended the game shared the moment on social media. The clips show the Denver Broncos cheerleader doing a dance while the bouncy tune plays over the speakers.

The Broncos 24-9 win over the Chiefs came as quarterback Patrick Mahomes was battling the flu and the players took on freezing temperatures in Denver. It's not lost on fans that the game was the first one in three weeks not attended by Swift, herself.

The Broncos joke on the Chiefs is more ironic given the fact that Kelce was just jamming out to "Shake It Off" during game 1 of the World Series on Friday night (Oct. 27). The football player attended the game between the Texas Rangers and Arizona Diamondbacks in Arlington, Texas, and he was caught on the Jumbotron dancing along to the Swift tune. Later in the evening, he was also seen singing Swift's "Love Story" and taking a selfie video. His appearance at the game coincided with Swift's release of her 1989 (Taylor's Version) album.
