How Did Representative Yassamin Ansari Meet the YouTuber?

Cocchiarella, a political commentator, met Ansari when he interviewed the Democratic politician from Arizona on his YouTube show last year. According to the New York Post, they have been seeing each other for the past few months.

When TMZ asked about the relationship, Ansari avoided the question altogether.

"I'm not commenting on my personal life, nor is it anyone's business. Right now, ICE is terrorizing communities across the country with zero accountability, and Trump's reckless war in Iran continues raging on. I'm focused on helping to flip the House so we can pass meaningful legislation — that's what we should all be focused on."

Cocchiarella also declined to comment on the possible relationship.

Who Is Ansari?

Ansari represents Arizona's 3rd Congressional District, which covers Phoenix. She won the seat in 2024 and is the first Iranian American Democrat elected to Congress.

However, the Stanford University graduate has faced criticism over alleged ties to Iran. In April, more than 13,000 signatures were on an online petition calling for an investigation into alleged "undisclosed foreign lobbying and ties" between Ansari and Iran.

The petition included a doctored image of Ansari in a turban. It offered no evidence of any connection between her and the Middle Eastern nation. In a statement, she called the claims "hateful rhetoric, lies, cruel and deliberate misinformation."

Cocchiarella, who hails from Winter Park, Florida, has also faced criticism. He first gained recognition for challenging conservative figures as a student activist at Dartmouth College.

But in 2022, he faced multiple allegations of sexual assault. He then sued a former classmate over the online claims. The case was settled, and Cocchiarella has denied the allegations.

The YouTuber graduated from Columbia University and has worked as a digital consultant for Democratic campaigns. He also boasts over 1.6 million subscribers on his YouTube channel.
