Demi Lovato recently had to visit a hospital. The pop star was suffering from a possible allergic reaction. Fortunately, according to TMZ, Lovato is doing well and isn't in any danger. Lovato gave her fanbase an update on Monday, October 26, when she posted a picture of herself in the hospital, connected to an IV and wearing a wristband.

"Sooooo i'm either allergic to passionfruit or sushi now!" she wrote.
Lovato didn't go into any further details. Fans are unaware whether she simply came into contact with one of those foods, or whether she ingested them. All they know is that Lovato was being treated in the hospital, with no concrete reason for what led her there.
"Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... Demi didn't stay overnight and was discharged shortly after checking in to be evaluated. We're told her symptoms subsided pretty quickly," TMZ reported.
Fortunately for Lovato's fans, she sought to ease their concerns as she later posted a second story on Instagram, reassuring everyone that she was doing ok.
"I'm fine!!" she wrote as part of the story.
Nevertheless, Lovato's fanbase was undoubtedly concerned for the singer. After all, allergic reactions can be highly dangerous and should never be taken too lightly.
Demi Lovato Has Battled Allergic Reactions Before
This isn't the first time Lovato has battled an allergic reaction. In 2009, she suffered an allergic reaction while filming Sonny With A Chance. It is believed that the reaction was caused by a mystery ingredient that was used in an egg salad. However, it's never been confirmed what that ingredient was.
"I had to go home early because they couldn't just cover me up with makeup since I was red and itchy," Lovato told Just Jared Jr. in 2009. "I guess I was allergic to something in egg salad. But it was actually really funny and amusing."
Lovato has also been open about her allergies to pets over the years. She has issues with both cats and dogs. Long-time fans will even remember when she adopted a cat, only to return it the next day.
Hopefully, Lovato is doing okay and will be back to full health soon.
