Deceased Country Legend Will Perform at 4th July Show

The country legend tragically passed away in 2020 due to a hemorrhagic stroke. But he'll be performing at a 4th of July show in Kentucky.

Charlie Daniels is going to be honored in a pretty cool way - he's going to perform at a 4th July show. You might be asking, "how?"

Ever since his tragic passing in 2020 in his Nashville home from a hemorrhagic stroke, fans have missed him dearly. But with innovations in technology, you have the chance to see him one last time.

The "Devil Went Down To Georgia" singer will return - in spirit, at least - to a show in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. But, as reported by Whiskey Riff, it will be through a hologram.

Do you remember when ABBA had their hologram concert back in 2023? It's somewhat of a similar idea, but it's been explained it's slightly different.

And AI has nothing to do with it. The way the organizers are pulling it off is pretty cool, all things considered. And it's a good thing they're not using AI, at least in my opinion. All that backlash for such a legend? I would just hate to see it.

The tribute concert will feature a hologram of the country legend which was made by 8 Track Entertainment. They say they worked extensively and very closely with Daniels' family in order to make things as accurate as possible.

The Son of the Country Legend Explained the Process

Charlie Daniels Jr., the son of the country legend, explained that he wasn't exactly keen in the first instance. He said, "I only agreed to it with the understanding that this could not in any way look strange, creepy, or unnatural."

"If it looked like a bad Disney audio animatronic figure, then I was out, but the work-in-progress 3D models has been very promising, and continues to improve with each new model."

Daniels Jr. also explained, "What the show is NOT is the ABBAtars ABBA Voyage show where the entire show is motion captured performing images of the band from their heydey in 1979."

He instead stated, "With The Legend of Charlie Daniels, the hologram of Dad will be used more sparingly."

In any case, it's looking to be a doozy. What a touching tribute to one of country music's greatest stars!
