The cause of death has yet to be confirmed. However, Investigators do believe that drugs played a role in her untimely death. One source told the outlet that the DEA is "zeroing in on a potential drug dealer."

However, no arrests have been made in connection with the actress's death.

Panettiere was found unresponsive in a Greenville, South Carolina apartment complex back in August.

No cause of death for the actress has been confirmed. However, in a 911 call obtained by TMZ, the Emergency Medical Services dispatch team responds to an "unresponsive female." Who is suffering from an apparent "cardiac arrest." Another worker confirmed that the female had suffered from an overdose. When reacting to the news that Brian was with her daughter at the time of her death, Panettiere's estranged mother, Lesley Vogel, referred to him as a "person in her life that we have been trying to get rid of for quite some time."

"There is a lot of history in the past that Brian has enabled Hayden many times. And this is why her father and I had been concerned for a long time about him," Vogel said in a statement to NBC News back in August.

Additionally, a rep for the actress said that there is "more to the story," referring to the details surrounding Hayden's death.

"There is much more to this story than what is currently being discussed publicly. And those closest to Hayden are actively cooperating with the ongoing investigation. To help ensure that the truth comes to light. And that justice is served," the rep said to US Weekly back in August.
