Dark Chocolate Moonshine
This grown-up Dark Chocolate Moonshine is sure to bring back memories of drinking chocolate milk as a kid. Now you can enjoy it as an adult!
- 8 oz dark chocolate chips
- 3 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup Everclear
- In a large saucepan, melt the chocolate, heavy cream, and milk over low heat until smooth. Add in the sugar, water, and vanilla and stir until combined and sugar is dissolved. Once everything is smooth remove the mixture from the heat and let cool to room temperature, about 30 minutes.
- Once cooled, add the Everclear and place into a large mason jar. Place in the fridge for up to a month. Serve over ice and a sprinkling of cocoa powder.
Make sure the mixture is at room temperature before adding the Everclear, otherwise some of the alcohol will cook out! Serve as a chocolate martini by serving in a martini glass rimmed with chocolate.
