'Dance Moms' Alum Suffers "Gnarly" Eye Infection and Concussion

JoJo Siwa of Dance Moms took to Instagram to reveal an unfortunate series of events she ended up experiencing.

JoJo Siwa of Dance Moms took to Instagram to reveal an unfortunate series of events she ended up experiencing. She posted the video on Monday, June 1, according to People.

In the video, she was sporting something we don't often see celebs wearing - a black eye patch. She cold opened the video with "Things aren't going too well."

The video then went on to show some pretty graphic photos of her infected eye. She pretty aptly described it as "gnarly". She said, "Hopefully it's on the mend in the next few days."

But, in what has to be a pretty bad streak of luck, she revealed that's not the entirety of what was wrong with her. In what she described as a "completely unrelated" event, she revealed that "on top of [the infected eye], I also have a concussion."

She went on to explain that she had fell off of her golf cart. The crazy incident happened because the wheel got locked up, and she ended up flying straight out of the cart.

The 'Dance Moms' Alum is Currently Recovering

But, she's following the doctor's orders on this one. She explained that she's had to visit three doctors, and they've given her a recovery plan to help her get back on her feet.

The Dance Moms alum has to do up to one hour of light activity a day. Of course, in typical JoJo Siwa fashion, she said she's using the time to take pics of her bows. She used the situation to advertise them, as well.

She added that she's really happy the situation isn't any more dire than it already is. "I'm gonna be fine. It's just going to take a while. As unlucky as I am that it happened, I am very lucky with how I came out of it."

"It's definitely a bit early to be going back into everything, and I have to be very careful of not being 100% recovered... but the Greatest saying in Hollywood, which I'm realizing to be true, [is] 'The show must go on.'"

Ain't that the truth! Here's hoping she recovers quickly.
