Over the past three years, Annabel had been open with her fans about her battle with cancer. In July, 2025, she updated her GoFundMe page with the heartbreaking news that her cancer had spread to her brain.
"In July they told me the cancer had spread to my brain so I started chemo immediately," Annabel wrote. "The tumors are responding and shrinking thank god. Then MRIs have revealed a 3 cm mass behind my eyes which is not responding to chemo."
However, in January, Annabel provided a postive update on her GoFundMe, noting the tumors in her brain were responding to her treatment.
"The good news is that the smaller tumors in my brain were no longer visible on my latest PET scan; but the bigger tumor in my sinus is unchanged, and I've only just got a consultation with the ENT doctor for a possible biopsy and surgery, this is happening on 24th December ie: Christmas Eve," she wrote.
