Dallas Skyline Voted Best in the World

The lights of Vegas and the skyscrapers of New York are no match for the Dallas skyline. The Big D was recently crowned the "Best International Skyline."

In an international USA TODAY Readers' Choice poll, Dallas came out on top for its highly recognizable cityscape. Despite some tough competition from second-place finisher Chicago, the iconic Texas city took the international title home to the Lone Star state.

DFW's skyline rose to prominence after regular features the 1980s television drama Dallas. It also made some recent cameos in reality TV shows like The Real Housewives of Dallas and Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team.

Dallas' distinct skyline has undergone a facelift in recent years. Colorful, interactive lighting now give the skyline an extra eight hours a day to impress tourists and locals alike.
