Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Win Fight Against Rock Band Over Fake Uniforms and Concert Gunfight

The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders have won their legal battle with emo band My Chemical Romance, with both sides reaching an agreement

The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders have won their legal battle with emo band My Chemical Romance. The situation occurred when the rock group had dancers dress as the popular dance squad during one of their recent shows. While wearing the DCC uniforms, a group of dancers pretended to get into a gunfight, with those dressed as the cheerleaders ultimately losing the pretend battle.

Of course, that didn't sit well with the company that owns the DCC brand. As such, Pro Silver Star sought to seek an injunction at the earliest opportunity,

Now, according to TMZ, an agreement has been reached between the two sides.

"TMZ has learned DCC and MCR reached an agreement ... and it's a clear win for the famous cheer squad ... because the emo band agreed not to dress their cheerleaders up like the DCC for their upcoming concerts," the outlet reported.

The agreement means that My Chemical Romance can still do their show with cheerleaders dancing on stage. However, those cheerleaders can't be made to look like the DCC squad. To be honest, this seems like a totally fair compromise. My Chemical Romance don't have to change their show, and the DCC aren't being misrepresented either. Everybody wins.

The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Were Fair From the Start

You've got to give the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and Pro Silver Star their credit; they were always operating with fairness in mind. Shortly after the news of their legal proceedings went public, Pro Silver Star's court filings made its position clear.

"Silver Star does not ask Defendants to change their setlist, narrative, politics, choreography, or even their decision to put gun-toting performers on stage. Silver Star asks only that those performers not wear the DCC Uniform while doing it. The universe of alternative costume designs is effectively unlimited," the statement said, courtesy of their lawyer Alex Spiro, via TMZ.

My Chemical Romance were initially hit with a cease-and-desist. However, the group continued with its production. However, with an agreement now in place, it's unlikely we'll hear any more about this situation. Because if we did, that would mean things were about to escalate, and that wouldn't be good for anybody.
