According to local Brazilian news outlets, Tree, whose full name is Oliver Tree Nickell, was identified as one of six victims in a helicopter crash.
Also killed were YouTube star Gaspar "Gaspi" Prim, 23, director and screenwriter Lucas Vignale, 29, music producer Lucas Brito Chaves, 21, and pilots Charles Marsillac and Alexandre Souza.
While many believe the crash was a fatal accident, the father of YouTuber Gaspar Prim thinks it may have been a deliberate attack.
Ricardo Prim said his son died in a "very unjust way," local outlet Clarin reported.

"It's not known whether it was an accident or an attack," the dad said.
Prim added that he was not familiar with Oliver Tree, but believes his fame may have made him and his son a target.
"I didn't know the American singer who was with him, Oliver Tree, but I'm receiving a lot of information, and I believe it wasn't an accident. For me, it was an attack."
The heartbroken father reflected on the treasured time spent with his son, which included hours spent at Prim's bookstore in Puerto Madryn.
"Gaspi spent a lot of time here in the bookstore when he was little. I always saw creativity in him," he said, describing his son as a "perfectionist."
"When he was a kid, I used to say he was going to be a film director. We watched Batman movies together.
He was always a very intelligent and sensitive little boy."
In the wake of Gaspar's death, Prim admitted that the pain he feels is "indescribable."
"He was in his prime. He was only 23 years old. It's going to be very difficult for me to live without Gaspi, knowing that he's gone," he said.
