Texas Judge Makes Amazing Sculptures out of Silverware

Ken Law spends his days working as an associate family law judge in Abilene, Texas. He often sees people when they are at their worst, which can be stressful at times. Ken knew that he could not take all that baggage home with him, so he came up with a plan. He began taking welding classes and eventually started creating some amazing cutlery sculptures.

Each day after work, he escapes into his garage workshop and gets to welding. His tools are simple - a welder and some cutlery are all he needs. Next, he simply assembles forks, spoons and even knives into unique creations.

Ken says he is very meticulous when it comes to his art. His pieces mostly revolve around animals, such as birds, fish, deer and cats.

Ken uses natural shapes that he sees in nature to create the beautiful sculptures.

He looks for ways to bring to life the many creatures he encounters as an outdoor Texan.

Ken focuses on the detail of the animals and tries to make them look as real as possible.

Although his sculptures appear perfect, Ken says there are always things he wants to go back and change about them.

The most common items he uses in these sculptures are spoons, forks and knives.

One thing is for certain, if Ken Law ever decides to give up his seat on the bench, he will have another job to fall back on. The sculptures are beautiful, and you will not find anything quite like them anywhere else.

You can see more of Ken's creations on his website.
