David Crosby II, 44, faces two counts of child abuse following the alleged incident on the Carnival Glory on Sunday, July 26.

According to investigators, the incident was captured by the ship's security cameras, with Crosby reportedly intoxicated at the time.

He has pleaded not guilty to the charges and is scheduled to be arraigned on August 25.

Cruise Ship Assault Leads to Child Abuse Charges

According to jail records obtained by PEOPLE, Crosby allegedly struck one child in the face, leaving the victim with a bloody lip and complaints of head pain.

He is also accused of hitting a second child in the stomach, causing abdominal pain.

Authorities said the two children were part of a group of three youngsters playing a game of tag in a hallway aboard the ship when the incident occurred.

Investigators allege Crosby was running through the same hallway before he "suddenly stopped running and struck" two of the children.

When questioned, Crosby reportedly told investigators that he did not remember the incident. Authorities said he appeared to have been "heavily intoxicated" at the time.

Security footage from the cruise ship is said to have provided investigators with a clearer account of what happened.

He was released on Tuesday, July 28, after posting a $20,000 bond.

Crosby appeared in court the following day, where prosecutors formally charged him with two counts of child abuse.

The 44-year-old entered not guilty pleas to both charges, with his arraignment scheduled for the end of August.
