UPDATE: Craig Morgan’s 19-year-old son, Jerry Greer, has died after a boating accident on Kentucky Lake in Tennessee over the weekend.

Morgan’s publicist confirmed Humphrey’s County Sheriff’s Department recovered Greer’s body on Monday evening.

According to WSMV-TV, the accident occurred while Greer was boating with friends on Kentucky Lake in Humphreys County, Tenn., on July 10. Greer and another individual were tubing alongside the boat and collided, causing them both to fall into the lake. One individual was pulled to safety, but Greer did not resurface.

Craig Morgan’s PR team Monarch Publicity confirmed Greer’s death on Monday evening (July 11) with the following statement.

The family is grateful for the outpouring of support and requests prayers at this time as they privately mourn this terrible loss. Jerry is survived by parents Craig and Karen Greer, sister Aly Beaird and brother-in-law Ryan Beaird, brother Kyle Greer and fiancé Chelsea Rogers and brother Wyatt Greer.

Humphrey’s County Water Search and Rescue began searching for Greer on Sunday afternoon at Mason’s Boat Dock and Marina.

Our hearts go out to Craig Morgan’s family during this difficult time.
