A Texas couple, Megan and Gunnar Farr, 29 and 25, respectively, pleaded guilty to a 2023 incident where they both tied up their children, ages 5 and 9 at the time, and then used a staple to tattoo them. The Farr couple would then attempt to remove the tattoos, causing further injuries to their children's flesh.

According to KTRE, after they were both arrested after forcibly tattooing their children in 2023, Megan Farr pleaded guilty to injuring a child on Thursday, April 10, 2025. Gunner pleaded guilty back on March 20, receiving a two-year sentence to a restraint charge and five years for a bodily injury charge. Megan will be sentenced on Sunday, May 25, 45 days after she pleaded guilty.
As reported by the Daily Mail, the couple tied down, blindfolded, and covered their children's mouths with tape back in 2023. They would then use a staple to tattoo both of their children. One of the children received a tattoo on their feet, while the other was tattooed on their shoulder.
Flesh Removed
The biological father of the children would then notice the tattoos on his kids' bodies. Megan and Gunnar, the latter being their stepfather, would then attempt to remove the tattoos by using lemon juice. They attempted to scrape and scrub the tattoos, which resulted in severe injuries, according to an affidavit.
"It appeared that the flesh was removed from the body at the tattoo's location." James Denby, from the Zavalla Polcie Department, told KTRE at the time. "And this happened about the time CPS became involved."
Reportedly, Megan, after confirming to the children's biological father that she and Gunnar tattooed their children, she "laughed about it and drove away," as per the affidavit. Both the biological father and the children's stepmother reported the incident to Child Protective Services immediately.
According to Denby, an individual turned over the tattoo kit that was believed to have been used by the Farrs. The woman who delivered the kit wasn't aware that the kit was to be used to tattoo the children.
Shortly after they were reported to CPS, authorities arrested Megan and Gunnar Farr. They were charged with unlawful restraint and bodily injury to a child.
