Disneyland is the most magical place on Earth. It's a place where you get transported away from your daily life, away from your stresses and struggles. A place where you get a chance to relive your childhood. And for many parents, create core memories that will last their children a lifetime.

Unfortunately, nothing is perfect, not even Disneyland.
A Nevada couple was recently reminded of that fact during a recent trip to the resort when a 'massive' tree allegedly broke and came crashing down around them.
"A large ficus tree fell near the Little Red Wagon corn dog cart, between the Plaza Point shop and Plaza Inn restaurant at about 11:40 p.m. Tuesday," the Orange County Register reported.
LeWanda and Mark Joseph, the two guests who went through the terrifying ordeal, fortunately escaped serious injury.
"My husband and I were the ones hit — we had just sat down to take photos at the table when the tree snapped and fell,"
LeWanda wrote in the comments section of a Facebook post discussing the fallen tree. While the incident was undoubtedly a frightening one for the couple, it was likely out of Disneyland's control. Sure, there should be protocols to check the safety of the surrounding fauna. However, if there are high winds, trees sometimes snap. It's part of nature.
Disneyland Is Disputing the Couple's Claims
According to a Disneyland Resort spokesperson, who issued no diners were seated in the patio area at the time the tree fell. The spokesperson was providing a statement to NBC Los Angeles.
"In a statement to NBC Los Angeles, a spokesperson for the resort confirmed that a tree on the patio of the Plaza Inn, a restaurant inside the theme park, fell around 11:40 p.m. Tuesday. The spokesperson said that because of the rain, no diners were seated on the patio," NBC Los Angeles reported.
The tree fell as Southern California was hit by a storm on Tuesday. Another storm is expected further south later this week.
While both the couple and Disneyland confirm the tree did, in fact, fall, there is a different story regarding whether people were outside on the patio at the time. There are no further details regarding the couple's version of events at this time.
