A couple celebrating their 25th anniversary is just two of many missing after deadly floods in Nepal. Raghu Rajan and Archana Suresh from Texas visited Nepal to celebrate both their wedding anniversary and Rajan's birthday.

"They were so excited," says sister-in-law Divya Chandrashekar. "All of us were excited."
The couple had been sharing their vacation with their children and family on WhatsApp. They frequently sent pictures and photos of Nepal. Prior to leaving, family said they trained so they would be physically fit to scale the terrain in the country.
"They wanted to be able to conquer this trip. You need to be fit to conquer that terrain, mentally and physically," their sister-in-law says.
Couple Missing in Nepal
But sadly, their dream trip turned into a deadly nightmare. Horrific flooding struck through Nepal last week. It wrecked large-scale damage across the country along the Chinese border. Floods in Nepal have killed more than a thousand.
Meanwhile, thousands are still missing. That includes the couple, who are two of 75 Americans still missing after the floods in Nepal. The last time family heard from them was the Sunday before the floods.
Rajan had a long video call with his brother about the trip at the hotel.
"It was an amazing trip," Chandrashekar says. "Until it happened."
Still, the family is hopeful that they are still alive.
"We are hoping that we find them," Chandrashekar says. "We want to bring them back home."
The rest of their hiking group is also missing.
"They haven't been found in any of the hospitals," Chandrashekar says. "All of us are literally hoping and praying that they had some time to react and just get to a higher elevation or something."
Rajan's brother has traveled to the country to help search for them.
"The family is really in pain and distress," Chandrashekar says. "Both sets of parents back home [in India] are praying and doing prayer meets and chanting so that they both come back safe and sound."
