Country Music's 10 Cutest Pets [PICS]

Can anybody resist posting pictures of their furry friends to social media? These country stars sure can't - and we love them for it! From Carrie Underwood's "The More Boys I Meet" to Blake Shelton's "Ol' Red," dogs have always had a starring role in country music, and the dogs (and cats) on this list are no exception.

10. Miranda Lambert's SEVEN dogs

The reigning CMA Female Vocalist of the Year is a strong advocate for adoptions and has her own animal charity, MuttNation Foundation. She also opened a no-kill shelter, Redemption Ranch, in November. The singer has seven dogs of her own and even built them their own house so her husband, Blake Shelton, could get a little peace and quiet!

9. Jason Aldean's dogs, Atlas and Mia

Aldean's trusty bulldog, Atlas, has been by his side for several years, and soon after Aldean began dating his now-wife, Brittany Kerr, the two decided to expand their family. Mia was adopted in 2014 and helped the singer introduce his Ice Bucket Challenge - don't worry, she didn't get hit with the chilly water!

8. Taylor Swift's cats, Olivia and Meredith

Named for Olivia Benson from "Law & Order: SVU" and Meredith Grey from "Grey's Anatomy," Taylor Swift's cats have had their differences, but judging from this video the singer posted to Instagram, they've been able to "shake it off" and become friends.

7. Kellie Pickler's dogs

After Pickler's winning season on "Dancing with the Stars," her husband, Kyle Jacobs, bought her their second dog as a present and suggested naming it Tango after one of Pickler's most successful dances. However, Pickler christened the dog Peanut - a perfect complement to sister Pixie. All together, the animal-loving couple has three dogs, a cat and a snake.

6. Kacey Musgraves' dog, Pearl

The "Follow Your Arrow" singer rescued her three-legged friend and has taken her on tour with her in the past. Musgraves even posted a photo of Pearl's doggie-sized road credentials for Kenny Chesney's "No Shoes Nation" tour in 2013.

5. Jake Owen's dogs, Merle and Thurman Thomas

Owen and his bulldog, Merle, have been pals for five years, and when the singer adopted Thurman Thomas, a bull mastiff, in November, the entire Owen family couldn't have been more excited. Owen's daughter, Pearl, became fast friends with Thurman and loves to feed him.

4. Brantley Gilbert's dog, Sylo

Gilbert may have a tough-guy image, but he's a softie when it comes to his puppy, Sylo. The American bulldog is partially deaf, so Gilbert began learning hand signals to communicate with him when he adopted the dog in 2014. Sylo lives on Gilbert's tour bus when the singer is on the road, and judging from this picture, he has no problem keeping himself entertained.

3. Carrie Underwood's dogs, Ace and Penny

It's safe to say that Underwood's dogs play a huge role in her life: Ace even walked down the aisle with the ring bearer and flower girl at the singer's wedding to Nashville Predators player Mike Fisher. More recently, Underwood and Fisher also involved their pets in another big announcement, dressing Ace and Penny in "Big Brother" and "Big Sister" shirts to break the news of Underwood's pregnancy.

2. Dierks Bentley's dog Jake

When Dierks Bentley's beloved dog Jake went missing in January 2013, the entire city of Nashville went on alert. Artists like Jake Owen and Little Jimmie Dickens joined in spreading the word on social media, and thankfully Jake and Dierks were reunited the next day. The mixed-breed dog frequently travels with his owner and has appeared in several of his music videos.

1. Thomas Rhett's dog, Kona

Thomas Rhett and his wife, Lauren, compromised when choosing a name for their Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dog. Originally, Thomas wanted to name the dog "Lady," but Lauren wasn't a fan, so they began researching Hawaiian dog names to commemorate their honeymoon destination. They decided on Kona after realizing it was the Hawaiian word for - you guessed it - "lady."
