The country star had undergone surgery following the tour bus crash, but doctors have said things are worse than they looked.

Country star Colt Ford was involved in a pretty terrifying tour bus crash recently. We reported on it when it happened, and he took to social media to explain what exactly went down.

"One minute you're headed to Germany for a show and prepping for a single release," the country star wrote on August 13." ...the next thing you know your bus is in the ditch and you're getting pulled through a windshield with a broken shoulder by first responders."

Fortunately, he was okay - but required some pretty serious surgery. We also reported on that when it happened - his team posted on social media to announce things went well.

They wrote, "Colt successfully underwent shoulder surgery today to address injuries sustained in the recent bus accident. We're happy to share that the surgery went well."

At the time, they unfortunately were forced to cancel several tour dates in order to "give Colt the time he needs to properly recover".

The Country Star Has Unfortunately Faced More Complications

However, it turns out that things weren't as simple as it sounds after all. He has been forced to cancel his appearance at Virginia's state fair.

The event organizers took to social media to make the heartbreaking announcement.

"Colt Ford has canceled his scheduled performance at the State Fair of Virginia on Wednesday, September 30, at 7:30 p.m," they wrote.

They continued by revealing the nature of his injuries. "His doctors have determined his injuries are more extensive than expected. On their strong advice," they continued, "Colt has made the difficult decision to cancel his upcoming show to focus fully on his recovery."

They concluded by wishing Colt a "healthy recovery" and saying that they were "actively working" to get an alternative artist to perform in his slot, even if "many fairgoers were looking forward to his performance."

The country star received a lot of support in the comments. One commenter tagged him and wrote, "I pray you recover well."

We hope that his recovery goes well, no matter how many shows he needs to cancel. One thing remains true—his fans will be there for him when he's back!
