All you married folks out there know that it is, above all, one big game of compromise. Loving your favorite person unconditionally comes with a lot of compromise, after all - they'll do things you just don't like, and you've just gotta put up with it!
And it turns out that that's the exact same whether you're an average Joe or a legendary superstar country singer. That's one thing that Miranda Lambert and her husband Brendan McLoughlin have come to terms with.
But, per Whiskey Riff, one thing he certainly doesn't do is shy away from telling her his opinions - good, or bad. The country star opened up about his honesty during an interview on The Kelleigh Bannen Show.
She was talking about her newest release, Crisco, when she mentioned her now-legendary 2016 "divorce" album, The Weight of These Wings. "I've had songs, like on the last record, I had a song that I let sit for ten years. Wasn't ready, 'Run' - wasn't ready. Then there's also this, 'The Weight of These Wings' was just bleeding on paper the whole entire double album, good bad ugly, I'm not hiding anything."

The Country Star Opened Up About Her Husband and His Honest Streak
And then, she made a (pretty hilarious) confession. "So, my husband actually never heard 'The Weight of These Wings'," she recalled.
"My friend, my backup singer Gwen, played him a few songs. We were all drinking wine on the porch the other day, and he was like, 'I've never heard this.'" (Classic husband stuff if you ask me!)
"I was like, 'Bro, do you have iTunes on your phone?' Like, what are we doing?" she continued. "You want me to go get you an LP? What is happening? Because he knows most of it... he knew a couple of songs, a couple of them he hated, which he was very vocal about, which I love."
I think it's really quite cute that they feel safe enough in their relationship to be honest like that to each other. I guess it makes sense that Miranda Lambert herself would never describe The Weight of These Wings as her "divorce" album!
