Country Star Wishes She Canceled Concert Because She Was Too Drunk

If you saw this country artist a few years back, she has something to tell you: She was too drunk and probably should have canceled the show.

If you saw Carly Pearce in concert in Washington, D.C., during her 29 Tour, she has something to tell you: she was too drunk and probably should have canceled the show.

Carly Pearce Overshared About the Time She Over-Served Herself

The revelation came during a game of "Sip or Spill" in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.

If you're not familiar with the game, the rules are similar to "Truth or Dare." Interviewer Emily Curl asks Pearce a question, and she can either "spill the tea" or "take a sip."

"Do you know me?" Pearce told Curl. "I spill all the tea!"

With the rules out of the way, Curl starts the game. Midway through, Curl asks Pearce if she has ever canceled a gig or event because she was too drunk.

"No," she curtly replied. "But there was one where I should have."

And Pearce even remembers which show it was.

"If you were at my show on the 29 Tour a few years ago in D.C., I over-served myself," she said. "I was like, 'Uh oh, this is not going to be good. But I made it."

That Moment Was Part of a Huge Month for Pearce

We can't verify the actual concert date when Pearce "over-served" herself. However, with the help of Google, we can reasonably assume that the concert took place at The Hamilton Live on Nov. 20, 2021. However, even we know you can't trust everything you read on the internet.

If that was the actual concert date, it was part of a big month for Pearce. Just a few weeks before, she shocked the world by winning the CMA Award for Female Vocalist of the Year. We certainly can't blame her for celebrating.

"I tell you I was flabbergasted when they called my name," she said in an Instagram video posted last week. "I fell to my knees six times because I just really couldn't believe it."

She added, "This was the best moment of my life. It really was. This came after a really hard season in my life, and it was such a moment... All my dreams came true."
