Noah Kahan was forced to cancel his concert in Queens, New York, on Saturday, July 18, due to bad weather. The tristate area was predicted to get hit with serious thunderstorms, high winds, and torrential rain.

Kahan, who was set to perform at Citi Field, first tried pushing the concert back by a couple of hours. Then, the idea was to remove some opening acts from the show. Ultimately, though, the decision was made to cancel the show, with the safety of everyone involved at the forefront of the tough choice.
Unfortunately, that decision came after fans had already begun arriving at Citi Field. Therefore, those who had made the journey had every right to feel aggrieved by the situation. The stadium itself released a statement upon the decision being made.
"The show tonight at Citi Field has been canceled due to inclement weather. This was a very difficult decision to make, but the first priority is always to keep everyone safe," the stadium posted.
Kahan followed things up with a post of his own on social media.
"I am so incredibly sorry. We waited as long as we possibly could in hopes that the weather would clear. It became clear that it wasn't safe for us, the crew or all of you," Kahan wrote, via Rolling Stone. "(We) Exhausted every option to make this happen."
Kahan then continued his statement. He noted how he understood that a large group of his fans had made plans based on their attendance.
"I know so many of you traveled, made plans and have been looking forward to this night for a long time. I'm devastated. We'll do everything we can to come back and make this right. Thank you for understanding, and I'm so sorry."
Noah Kahan Will Be Touring Until December
Fans who were due to attend Citi Field will undoubtedly be upset at how things played out. Sometimes, it's better to pull the plug early than to let people travel only to find out they wasted their time. Currently, Kahan's tour is set to run until December.
However, given how things went down on Saturday, it wouldn't be a surprise to see him reschedule his show in Queens. At least that way, he can give back to the fans he let down, even if the situation was out of his control.
