Clint Black was slated to perform on July 3 at Pearl River Resort Casino, but was forced to cancel his Independence Day weekend performance after being hospitalized with a medical emergency.

Black, 64, was admitted to the hospital on Sunday, June 28, after developing an infection in his tonsils, his team announced.
He is currently receiving treatment, including emergency intravenous antibiotics.
"Clint Black's performance at the Pearl River Resort Casino, scheduled for Friday, July 3, 2026, has been cancelled due to a medical emergency. Clint was admitted to the hospital on Sunday with infected tonsils requiring emergency intravenous antibiotic treatment," the statement reads.
On a positive note, his team confirmed that he is expected to make a full recovery.
They added, "Clint is on the mend and will make a full recovery. He is expected to be discharged from the hospital later this week. Clint and his management team sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this cancellation may cause. All tickets will be refunded from the original point of purchase."
Black is expected to resume his Back on the Blacktop Tour on July 9th in Minden, Nevada. Black and Midland will co-headline eight shows this fall.
Clint Black Details Rise to Fame in New Memoir
In addition to his touring duties, Black has also ventured into book writing. The "Better Man" singer released his long-awaited memoir, Killin' Time: My Life and Music.
Released on May 19, the memoir details Black's rise from a struggling songwriter to chart-topping superstar.
The Grammy winner has released 14 albums across his decades-spanning career.
His debut album, Killin' Time, released in 1989, is still among his most critically acclaimed projects. The album made Country music history by producing four No. 1 hits and occupied the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart for 31 weeks.
Throughout his illustrious career, he has sold 19 million albums worldwide.
