A country star was among five dead. Tragically, his helicopter crashed in the middle of a violent storm.

Country star Rick Sollo has died. Sollo was one part of the duo Rick and Renner. His helicopter crashed in Brazil on September 21.
The musician was 69.
Four others also died, including Bruno Avelar, Paulo Soares, Antonio Roberto and Leopoldo Barros Texeiera. The five were traveling from Porto Belo to São Joaquim. That's when the helicopter they were in disappeared.
It took more than a day for search and rescue to locate the downed helicopter. It was found in an area that's difficult for emergency responders to reach. The country star leaves behind a lasting legacy in the country. He and Ivair dos Reis Goncalvis started performing together as Rick & Renner in 1986, releasing their first album in 1992.
