As of late, politics has got really divisive. All you ever see on social media is people bickering and arguing about what's right and what's wrong.
But it looks like that's spilled into real life - because a country singer experienced fans walking out on him during a particularly politically charged song.
As reported by the New York Post, Aaron Lee Tasjan was performing at the 1859 St. Joseph's Church in Galveston, Texas. He decided to perform a song called "I Love America Better Than You".
The song isn't the most politically neutral in the world. It comments on political and cultural issues like the Capitol riot, immigration, and even transgender rights.
The lyrics go:
"I love America better than you / Her founding mothers and her hotdogs too / First Black president / Insurrectionists / I love America better than you."
And the song ends:
"I love America better than you / Her crowded cities and her hotdogs too / Land of immigrants / Queer Trans feminists / I love America better than you."
And some people didn't like those lyrics, to the point that they walked out.

The Country Star Addressed the Walkout on Social Media
Tasjan took to
social media after the walkout to discuss what happened. "Towards the end of 'I Love America Better Than You'... 8 people who were very clearly put off by the messages in the song got up and walked out of my show."He continued by saying that he "appreciates" those who walked out, as they exercised their free will. But, he said, "I invite all of us to continue to reflect on our own values... As the values of the individual paint a picture of the values of our country."
The country star ended the post by saying that "The time to remain comfortable is gone. If we choose only to walk away from that which makes us uncomfortable... We subject ourselves to an imbittered stagnation, or worse, a descent into fracture."
