The country singer sat down with Evan Paul on the Taste of Country Nights Monday morning, where he opened up about his recent betrayal.
"God's got a sense of humor. I just dropped this album called Relapse, Lies and Betrayal, and what I went through the last week or two, I literally just went through all three of those," he spilled.
When people cheat in a relationship, it can usually be chalked down to lust. It's ironic then, that a man who was dubbed the 'sexiest 25-year-old' of 2024 in People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive issue got cheated on.
In cases such as this, there's typically something more. And it turns out this was the case, as Zeider's girlfriend cheated on him with someone he knew. Cue the second ironic twist. The man who penned the songs "Lies" and "Betrayal" got cheated on.
Warren Zeiders Opens Up About His Breakup
"To make it lightly is, I definitely went through those three sequences," he said, referencing the first three songs on the Relapse, Lies & Betrayal album. "If you want to take those three words at face value, that's kind of what I went through."
"The unfortunate thing is, this is something that was going on for a while, off and on, between the two of us. don't want to give it too much light, 'cause I don't want to give her too much of a win."
He then shared with the outlet that his girlfriend cheated on him with someone he knew. "It's kind of like a double betrayal," which is totally what it is.
In light of this recent heartbreak, he admits that he's fired up to take to the studio. Nothing more therapeutic than compiling your thoughts and feelings into music. Although he is on his Relapse tour this year, so time in the studio may be few and far between.
Now that he's single again, he's ready for whatever life has to throw at him next. I just hope it throws the man a break.
