Bryan Andrews is speaking out about his disappointment in the current administration. Growing up in Carroll County, Missouri, the country singer says most of the people he knows voted for Trump. He says it has been difficult for him to be so different politically.
"I think about it," he said. "All these people from my hometown that I know voted for (Trump). Like, I've seen them be good people."
Country Singer Speaks Out About Trump
The country singer says that he doesn't understand how people continue to support Trump. Andrews went on a fiery rant about his opinion of the current president.
"I've seen them be good people, and it's hard for me to see what I'm seeing now," he added. "It's like, 'Dude, you guys raised me and shaped me into the man I am today, and I'm d--n proud of it. And I'm seeing you (expletive) do this. Support this. Support this level of inhumanity. That is not who you are. That is now who we are in these small towns. It's not our (expletive) character, and I'll never forgive Trump for the (expletive) mentality he's given the people I love.'"
Andrews is also not a fan of how divided the country is. The country singer says the country needs to reconcil and come together at some point.
"It's hard for me to wrap my head around," he said. "At some point, you just have to let it go I guess. I don't know the (expletive) road to reconciliation with some of these people. I chose my side a long time ago. History is gonna have a long (expletive) red line down the middle of it, and it's about time everybody picks a side because this (expletive) ain't politics no more. If they want to be on that side, that's on them. It ain't on me."
