35-year-old country singer Nat Myers shared an inspiring message on his Instagram to commence the new year. The "Duck N' Dodge" singer opened up about his father's passing, as well as his own battle with cancer. He admitted that 2025 was a year of profound loss and struggle for him.

"25 you nearly got me," he shared. "You may have taken my daddy but you didn't get to take poor me. 25 it was because of you I learned how much I's loved. I began wanting to be known for my enemies, but I leave wanting to be known for my family and friends."
In February 2025, the 35-year-old was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. On Instagram, the country singer revealed that doctors didn't think he would make it to March, much less 2026.
The singer continued, "I always death was born with dead-aim, but I learned even he miss his mark some days. I thought I was strong, but learned my strength came from so many doctors & nurses, the ten thousand hands I shook since I got my chance, the bread that been broken for me, since I first started playin."
He concluded his message, sharing words of encouragement. "I have seen the woods lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep, and miles to go before I sleep. Keep on goin, it gets better."
Nat Myers Shares GoFundMe Link With Fans
Back in February, Nat Myers revealed that he had been diagnosed with stage IV sarcoma. Sarcoma is a rare form of cancer that can cause growths around the heart and pulmonary arteries. Literally known as the "forgotten cancer", the disease only has about 13,500 cases a year in the US, according to the National Foundation for Cancer Research. This is a stark contrast to breast cancer, which has about 300,000 cases a year.
In an Instagram post on February 24, 2025, Myers announced that he would be cancelling shows for the year. "I hate to ask anything from anybody," he shared. "But with needing to cancel all my shows this year, I know I will need help from the community that I love and that loves me in return.
